According to Stanford researchers, in everyday conditions, screens rarely reach the light intensity needed to significantly alter the circadian rhythm. The real impact of screens on sleep may come more from stimulating content (social media, news, messages) than from blue light itself.
Try to put screens away at least 60 minutes before bed. Not so much for the blue light, but because responding to messages, checking social media, or watching videos keeps your brain in an activated state.
If you need your phone at night, enable night mode (Night Shift on iOS, blue light filter on Android). It reduces blue light emission and shifts tones to warmer colors.
Getting bright natural light in the first 30 minutes after waking is the most effective way to calibrate your biological clock. This strengthens your circadian rhythm and ensures proper melatonin production at night.
